A row has broken out over the return of elephants to the British circus after almost ten years.
3 elephants are to make their debut at the big top at the Great British Circus this Friday, but not every one is pleased.
Campaigners claim that it isn’t natural for elephants to be kept by circuses, and the RSPCA wants a ban completely on the use of wild animals in circuses.
The Great British Circus, however, claim it’s doing nothing wrong.
The circus based in Lincolnshire, is one of the country’s biggest circuses. Bosses of the circus say their animals are quite happy and are well looked after and think people DO want to go to the circus to see them.
